In September 2022, I spent 3 weeks traveling in Brazil with a friend. We traveled from Rio de Janeiro via Ilha Grande to Paraty and Florianopolis. However, the main destination of our trip was the Pantanal, the largest inland wetland in the world and home to the largest jaguar population in the world. In addition to countless jaguars, the Pantanal offers an incredible variety of wildlife: hundreds of different birds, such as parrots and toucans, capiwaras, caimans, armadillos, deer and much more. Absolutely worth a trip!
